Dr. Tom Mole

Dr Tom Mole is a Consultant Psychiatrist and co-founder of Kin Clinic with over fifteen years of experience in medicine. He completed his psychiatry training in both the UK and Australia at leading centres of excellence, including a fellowship at the University of Cambridge.

Tom’s academic background includes more than 1,600 citations across research areas such as impulse control and brain imaging, reflecting his commitment to advancing understanding in mental health and neuroscience.

He provides assessment and treatment for children and adults with a range of conditions, including:

• Autism Spectrum Disorder
• Binge Eating Disorder
• Body Dysmorphia
• Tics and Tourette’s Syndrome

Tom is passionate about optimising medication and treatment plans using the most up-to-date evidence to help patients enhance their wellbeing and quality of life. For him, hearing a person’s story and being part of their journey toward improvement is a genuine privilege.

Outside of work, Tom enjoys surfing and sailing, spending as much time as he can on the water.

Dr Tom Mole is a Consultant Psychiatrist and co-founder of Kin Clinic with over fifteen years of experience in medicine.

He trained in psychiatry across the UK and Australia, including a fellowship at the University of Cambridge. Tom currently offers services for ADHD for young people age 17 and over and adults, providing assessment, diagnosis, and medication management.

His calm, thoughtful approach integrates evidence-based care with lifestyle considerations to support long-term wellbeing. Outside of work, he enjoys surfing and sailing.

Dr. Shani Mallawaarachchi

Dr Shani Mallawaarachchi is an experienced consultant psychiatrist with over 13 years of expertise in adult mental health across Australia and Sri Lanka. Since 2020, she has worked in the Australian public mental health system, providing care in both inpatient and community settings. She is passionate about helping people with complex and chronic mental health challenges, using a warm, collaborative and evidence-based approach.

Shani is known for her ability to create a safe, non-judgemental environment where patients feel truly heard and supported. She works together with her patients to develop tailored treatment plans that support long-term recovery and wellbeing.

Dr Bithul Jain is an Adult Psychiatrist at Kin Clinic.
Dr Bithul Jain is a Consultant Psychiatrist and a fellow of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Psychiatrists (FRANZCP). Dr Bithul has a compassionate and warm consultation style. He takes time to understand your history and is dedicated to providing evidence-based care. He has extensive experience supporting a range of difficulties including depression, OCD, anxiety disorders, Bipolar, Perinatal Mental Health conditions, ADHD, Autism, psychosis and related conditions. Dr Bithul works with clients age 17 to 65 and can offer his services in English & Hindi. Outside of work he is a movie buff, enjoys being with his family and having new experiences travelling the world.

Dr Udena Attygalle is a child and adolescent psychiatrist at the Kin Clinic.

Dr Udena Attygalle is a Fellow of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Psychiatrists (FRANZCP) with over 15 years of experience. He is an expert in Child, Adolescent and Young Adult Psychiatry, working with young people and taking a collaborative, evidence-based approach. Dr Udena is passionate about early intervention and making a positive difference in the trajectory of young people’s lives.

Sam Gurusinghe - Mental Health & ADHD Nurse Practitioner

Sam Gurusinghe

Sam has undertaken extensive specialist training as a Nurse Practitioner and is a specialist in Mental Health and ADHD. He takes a friendly and compassionate approach to understand each patient's story and to form a personal treatment plan to support them. Sam has expertise in working with adult clients for medication supports for a range of presenting difficulties including ADHD, Depression, Anxiety, PTSD and Bipolar. He is also trained in EMDR and has a special interest in providing psychotherapy for PTSD. Sam is available for in person consultations in our relaxing Brighton Clinic and also provides Telehealth options.

Arun Plamuriyil Surendran

Arun is an endorsed Mental Health Nurse Practitioner with extensive experience across acute inpatient, community, trauma, and AOD services, providing comprehensive assessment, diagnosis, prescribing, and evidence-based treatment for a broad range of mental health conditions using a trauma-informed, recovery-oriented approach.

With advanced training in ADHD management and extensive experience across mental health, trauma, and AOD services, he provides holistic, evidence-based care in a safe and supportive environment that fosters trust, collaboration, and meaningful recovery. Arun is able to support young people from age 14, adults and older adults. He is experienced in treatment for Anxiety, OCD, Depression, Specific Phobia, Sleep Problems, tics, Tourette’s, ADHD, Post Traumatic Stress Disorder and Alcohol and Substance Use difficulties. His approach is trauma-informed, person-centred, and focused on empowering individuals to achieve improved wellbeing, resilience, and long-term mental health outcomes’.

She takes a person-centric approach that goes beyond standard interventions, focusing instead on advocating for her clients' unique cognitive profiles and tailoring bespoke strategies that honour how their brains actually work.
With a Masters in Clinical Psychology and a Masters in Counselling, Alisha blends clinical expertise with a genuine passion for working with adolescents and young adults. She views therapy as a collaborative partnership, moving away from a "top-down" clinical model to empower her clients to build capacity, celebrate their strengths, and navigate a world that isn't always built for them.

Timothy Rancie is a Clinical Psychologist with over 15 years of experience across acute, inpatient, and outpatient settings with adults and young people. His work includes clinical assessment and treatment of trauma, anxiety, relationship difficulties, suicide bereavement, and neurodevelopmental presentations, including ADHD and autism. He draws on evidence-based approaches including CBT, ACT, and EMDR. Tim is passionate about supporting his clients to make positive changes and creates a compassionate safe space.

Dr. Iona Walker

Dr Iona Walker is an Australian and UK-accredited Consultant Clinical Psychologist registered with AHPRA, bringing over fifteen years of experience in psychology and mental health care. She holds a Doctorate in Clinical Psychology, a Master’s degree (with Distinction) in Clinical and Health Psychology, and an MA (Hons) in Psychology.

Iona has undertaken specialist training in neurodiversity, supporting children and adults through the assessment of ADHD and Autism. She provides compassionate, evidence-based care for individuals and couples, approaching each session with empathy, respect, and a genuine commitment to understanding her clients’ experiences.

Iona provides compassionate, evidence-based care for adults, young people, and couples, supporting clients navigating neurodiversity, social anxiety and relationship challenges.

Iona has specialist training in ADHD and Autism assessment and uses therapies such as CBT and narrative therapy to foster personal growth, emotional resilience, and wellbeing. Nina Lavina ADP, BScNut, MDiet

Bachelors and Masters of Dietetics.
Nina is an Accredited Practicing Dietitian with a Bachelors and Master's degree in dietetics. She has over six years of experience empowering individuals to improve their health and relationship with food. Nina is passionate about supporting clients in navigating challenges such as overeating, emotional eating, inconsistency, overwhelm, appetite and sensory differences, dopamine-seeking, all-or-nothing thinking, and perfectionism with food. She also has expertise in supporting neurodivergent clients, who may have difficulties with nutrition related to ASD or ADHD. Nina takes a neurodiversity-affirming, behaviour-focused approach, addressing both the nutritional and psychological drivers of eating. Her work focuses on helping clients to utilise practical strategies outside of sessions to build realistic consistency and reduce overwhelm. Nina takes a compassionate and friendly approach to supporting her clients in achieving their health and wellbeing goals.
Nina works with children ages 5 and over and adult clients. She is able to accept referrals for support with ADHD related eating difficulties, Autism related eating difficulties, binge eating, avoidance of foods, caffeine addiction, and managing loss of appetite related to stimulants. She also offers expertise for clients who have additional physical health concerns including Type 2 Diabetic management, hypertension, and cholesterol concerns.
